Droove is a place to keep a record of every car you have owned, on one page you can share with a single link. Each car gets its year, generation, engine, the years it was yours, photographs and a line about what it was actually like to live with.
It is not a classifieds site and nothing on it is for sale. It is the answer to the question every car person gets asked and has to give from memory: what have you owned?
Sign in with your email, choose your handle, and add your first car — that is the whole of it, and it takes about two minutes. Your page exists at droove.pro/yourhandle from the moment the handle is claimed.
In order: enter your email on the sign-in page and open the link that arrives; pick a handle, which becomes your address; add a display name, and a city and one line about yourself if you want them; then add a car by photograph or by name. Every car after that is the same three screens, and the page updates as you go.
Press Add a car, upload a photograph of it, and confirm the make, model and generation. The photograph is read to suggest the car; you correct anything it got wrong before it is saved, and the engine you pick brings its published figures with it.
You can also skip the photograph and search for the car by name — "Golf Mk5 GTI", "Skyline R34", "Escort RS Cosworth" — then fill in the years you owned it and how it was.
That is exactly what Droove is for. Cars you sold twenty years ago belong on the page as much as the one on your drive — most people's list is mostly cars they no longer have, and there is no limit on how many of them you keep.
A spreadsheet does the remembering but nothing else: it has no photographs, no figures, and no address you can send to somebody. This does all four.
Send the link: droove.pro/yourhandle. It opens for anybody, on any device, without an account or an app.
Pasted into a chat it unfurls into a card showing your name, how many cars you have recorded and their combined power — so people see what it is before they decide to tap it.
Because the chat is showing a copy it made the first time somebody sent that link. Telegram, WhatsApp, iMessage and Slack each fetch a page's preview once, keep it, and do not go back to look — so a card made when you had one car can still be the one they show after you have added ten.
The card itself is built fresh every time it is asked for, and its address changes whenever your figures do. If you want a chat to catch up, send the link to Telegram's @WebpageBot, which refreshes its copy, or paste the link with anything after it — droove.pro/yourhandle?2 — which the cache reads as a different page. Anybody sharing your link for the first time always gets today's card.
Your handle is your address — droove.pro/yourhandle — and it is six to twelve characters, letters and numbers. You can change it later in your settings, and the old address stops working when you do.
Shorter handles are held back deliberately rather than being first-come-first-served.
Yes. Making a page, your own address, every car you have owned with their photographs, the figures, the Car DNA, the ownership timeline, the boards and sharing your link all cost nothing, and there is no advertising anywhere on it.
One optional extra is paid for: having your own car filmed and turned into a 3D scene that spins on your page. It is arranged by enquiry — you say which car, we write back with what it involves and what it costs.
There is no app to install, and none is needed: Droove is built for a phone browser first and works the same on a laptop. Photographs come straight from your camera roll, HEIC included.
Add it to your home screen if you want it to behave like an app.
Anywhere. The site is in English, prices are in pounds and the reference leans towards cars sold in Britain, but there is nothing that stops somebody in any country keeping their garage on it.
The reference also holds the cars people arrive with rather than only what is on British forecourts — Soviet and Japanese classics, and what is bought new in Russia and eastern Europe today.
Yes — that is the point of it. Every car gets the years it was yours, so the page reads as a history rather than a list of what is on the drive today.
If you cannot remember when you bought one, say so: the car is added all the same and simply sits under the ownership chart rather than in it, since a bar needs two years.
As many cars as you have owned — garages here run from one to eighteen, and nothing stops a longer one. Six photographs go up at a time, and you can add more to a car afterwards.
One line about what it was actually like — the thing you would say if somebody asked. What it was good at, what it cost you, why it went.
That line is what makes a page worth reading rather than a table of specifications, and it is the part nobody else can look up.
Yes. Save their page, then compare up to four garages side by side: total power, torque, capacity, how much metal has been through each one, how long cars are kept, how many were manual.
Individual cars can be compared the same way, which settles the argument about which of two is actually quicker.
Open their garage and press Follow. They appear under Following on your own page, their new cars are a click away, and your garage can be held up against theirs in the comparison.
A follow is public, both ways: it shows in their followers and in your following, and the counts sit on the page. That is how you find the people your friends read.
Saving an individual car is a different thing and still private — those are yours alone, under Explore, and nobody is told.
Open the Connector in your garage: it shows one car at a time from somebody you have never met, and you save it or skip it. Skipped cars are not offered again.
Since personal pages are kept out of search results, this and a link somebody sends you are the two ways a stranger's car reaches you at all.
Droove insights are observations counted from your own garage — the badge you keep coming back to, whether your cars have been getting stronger, how long you keep them, how many were manual.
They are arithmetic, not writing. Nothing on that card is generated by a language model, and an insight only appears when the garage supports it: a run of one is not loyalty, and two cars are not a trend.
Vans and project cars, yes — anything with four wheels that was yours. Motorcycles are not supported: the figures, the shapes and the comparisons are all built around cars.
A car that never ran is still a car you owned, and a shell in a garage has as much of a story as anything else on the site.
A droove is a vote for somebody else's car. One per person per car, never on your own, and pressing it again takes it back.
The name is the two Os in the wordmark, and the answer to what everything on this site is: cars you droove.
Five a week. The count runs over the last seven days rather than resetting on a particular morning, so drooves come back to you as they age out, and taking one back gives it straight to you.
The limit is the point: without one, the sensible thing is to droove everything, which is the same as drooving nothing.
No. A droove stands until the person who cast it takes it back, so the number on a car is everything it has ever been given.
A separate count of the last seven days decides the car of the week; the tally on the car itself is for life.
The most drooved car on the site, with the most recent droove breaking a tie. Nothing else weighs in — not who owns it, not how long it has been on the site, and nobody can pay for it.
It is counted over all time for now rather than over the last seven days: with the site this size a weekly window is often empty, and an empty board says less than the car everybody has actually voted for.
It is blurred on our server before the photograph is stored. The unblurred original never reaches permanent storage — it exists in memory for as long as it takes to blur it. What is written to the bucket is the blurred image, and that is the only version that can ever be served.
If the plate on the first photograph is legible, it is read once before that: the registration is sent to the DVSA, which answers with the make, model, year, fuel and engine size, and the flow uses that instead of guessing the car from its shape. The registration is not sent back to your browser, not written to any row, and not put in a log. There is no column in the database that could hold one.
You can also type a registration yourself on the first screen, which does the same thing and is answered the same way.
The blur is automatic, so it is fallible. If you can see a plate that survived, delete the photograph and tell us.
Yes. Pick as many as you like in one go — they are all uploaded, blurred and attached to the car.
Only the first is sent for recognition. Identifying a car from nine photographs of the same car costs nine times as much and tells us nothing more, so the first picks the make, model and generation and the rest are simply stored.
JPEG, PNG, WebP and HEIC. HEIC is what an iPhone takes by default, so photographs straight off a phone work without converting anything first.
From a hardcoded reference of published manufacturer and press figures — 851 generations and 2,204 engines across 85 makes — or from you. Every car records which of the two it used, and the two are never mixed.
No figure on Droove is ever generated by a language model. A model that invents a plausible 0–100 time discredits every comparison on the site, so power, torque, weight and sprint times only ever come from the reference file or from the owner.
Yes. Pick it from the catalogue anyway — every make and model is there, even where we hold no figures — and type the figures in yourself on the next screen.
Your V5C is better data than ours: it is the car in front of you rather than a press release about a car like it. Anything you type is kept exactly as you typed it and is never overwritten by us.
Yes. Open the car, choose to enter the specification yourself, and your figures replace the reference ones for that car.
Manufacturers quote differently between markets and model years, and kerb weights move with options, so a reference figure is a good starting point rather than the truth about your particular car.
Anyone you send the link to. A Droove page opens without an account, so friends can read it without signing up for anything.
Treat it as public: do not put on it anything you would not put on a public noticeboard.
No. Every personal page and car page tells search engines not to index it, and the sitemap lists only the pages that describe the product itself.
A page carries somebody's name, their city and the cars on their drive, and it was made to be sent to people rather than found by strangers searching a name. Your link still works everywhere you paste it, and it still unfurls into a card in a chat.
No. Droove has no passwords: you type your email address and a sign-in link arrives, which signs you in on the device you opened it on.
That means there is no password to be stolen from us, and none for you to reuse. If a link has expired, ask for another.
Your email address, what you put on your page, and your photographs after their plates have been blurred — plus the ordinary server logs any website has.
Registration numbers are never among it, and neither is any unblurred photograph.
In your settings, at the bottom of the page: type your handle to confirm and everything goes. Your profile, your cars, every figure you typed, your photographs — the stored files, not just the records — your drooves and your saved pages, and finally your sign-in.
It cannot be undone, and nothing is kept back. Backups roll off within thirty days.
For three things, all about photographs: recognising which car is in the first one you upload, reading its number plate if one is legible — so the DVSA can be asked what the car actually is, rather than guessing it from the shape — and finding where that plate sits so it can be blurred. None of them writes anything onto your page by itself.
It is never used for figures and never used to write your words. What a model suggests about make and model, you confirm or correct before anything is saved.
A small independent team — not a manufacturer, a dealer or a marketplace. Nothing on the site is for sale and nobody pays to appear on it.
